Hei hei! This is Laia, an Arctic Nature Guide, Nature & Conservation Photographer, Biologist and Biotechnologist. Based in Svalbard and Catalunya.

Luckily, I grew up surrounded by nature and mountains, which inspired me to explore the world and the different species that call it home. Therefore, my curiosity about the different ecosystems.

I have been lucky enough to be in some remote locations (rainforest in Peru, Svalbard and Northern Finland's tundra amongst others). You can find me in a range of temperatures going from +40ºC to -40ºC! Until now, I have been focusing on topside photography but I have a strong passion for the underwater world too.

My wish is to reconnect people with nature through my photos and thus increase the number of people involved in its preservation. Above all, I want to share our planet's amazing beauty through my photos and share them with people who are not able to experience it in person.

In love with the polar regions, I enjoy working as a wildlife photography guide in Svalbard.

Another thing that is really important to me is to have this website in Catalan (my mother tongue) to make it easily available to the people at home who might not understand English or prefer to enjoy it in Catalan and, to preserve and show the world our beautiful language. But don't worry, it will be in English too!

I am also a Girls Who Click Ambassador, an NGO aiming to inspire young female-identified and non-binary people with an interest in nature photography.

I own and shoot with a Canon 5D mk IV.
